Day-by-day breakdown of your McLeodGanj Triund Trek experience

Day 0: Departure from Delhi & Chandigarh | Overnight Journey.

The group will assemble at the pickup point between 7 and 8 PM, with the tentative location being Majnu Ka Tila near Nirmal Hriday Church. For those joining from Chandigarh, the pickup point is tentatively Suhana Gurudwara. From there, the group will embark on an overnight journey to their destination.

Day 1: Arrive Mcleodganj | Local Sightseeing

Reach Dharamshala by morning and transfer to McLeod Ganj by cab. Check in to your hotel and after breakfast (not included), rest for some time—standard check-in time is 12:00 noon, with early check-in subject to availability. Later, visit the famous Shiva Café, Bhagsu Waterfall, and Bhagsunath Temple, a short trek of about 1 km. By evening, head towards Namgyal Monastery and the Dalai Lama Temple, which are approximately 1 to 1.5 km away on foot. Spend your evening exploring the local market of McLeod Ganj and relaxing in its cozy cafés. Return to the hotel to enjoy a bonfire, music, dinner, and a restful overnight stay.

Day 2: Triund Trek

Wake up early in the morning and, after having breakfast, set out for the Triund trek. On your way, take a refreshing pit stop at the Magic View Café to relax and soak in the surroundings for about half an hour. Continue your trek and reach Triund by evening, where you’ll be greeted with stunning views of the Dhauladhar ranges. Check in to the campsite and get ready to witness one of the best sunsets in the Himachal region. As night falls, enjoy a mesmerizing star-gazing experience under the clear mountain sky. After a warm dinner, rest overnight at the campsite. Please note, a forest charge of Rs. 200 is to be paid by each guest.

Day 3: Trek Down | Dharamshala Sightseeing | Depart for Delhi

Wake up to a beautiful and blissful sunrise and enjoy your morning breakfast amidst the serene mountain views. Afterward, trek down from Triund to McLeod Ganj and freshen up at your hotel, noting that common washrooms will be provided. Later, explore Dharamshala’s key sights, including the cricket stadium and the war memorial. By evening, board your bus and begin your journey back to Delhi and Chandigarh, carrying with you wonderful memories of your trip.
